By the Mining Museum you will find a cross-country skiing trail. The trail features two 15-metre inclines that emerge onto former slag heaps. The downhill sections are safe and suitable for beginners. There are sections for both classic and skate-style skiing (the latter being 3 metres wide). The trail is in very good condition and can be used by skiers of all levels of experience.
A special 3.7 km trail has also been laid through the quarry.
